Next season there may be some clubs moving leagues because of their location and the travel involved.

Should the Sussex and Kent leagues only be for clubs in those counties?

Should the combined counties only be for clubs from Surrey and Hampshire?

Does it make sense for Redhill to join the Coco whilst Horley join the Sussex?

Should every county have a senior league at the same level of the pyramid and only allow clubs from that county to play in it?

This is the only thing I have a strong view on. Redhill should play in the CoCo really but so should Horley. They may be just over the border into Sussex but they wouldn't want to make all those journeys and I can't say I blame them. They are a good little club, the sort the CoCo need. Redhill OTOH is a dump but hopefully this grant they've got will allow them to improve things.

I must get a copy of your map , because the last time I looked at mine, Horley was in Surrey. As far as I know, the club have no wish to go into the Sussex County League. In terms of miles per season Horley's will seem to be greater mainly due to Chipstead and now Merstham gaining promotion but would still be over one hundred miles less than in the County league.
I cannot speak for Redhill but they seem to want to stay in the County League as there is never any mention of them moving across the pyramid either in the press or on their website. With regard to Redhill being a dump it bore a remarkable resemblance to Merstham's three years ago, so don't get ahead of yourself.

Hmm, well therein lies the rub, dear sir. Merstham have worked hard to create a good ground without much help from outside over the last 4 or 5 years. Redhill's ground is probably in a worse state now than it was 6 or 7 years ago.

As for the Sussex thing, apologies, it's so near to Gatwick and that's just past the border so I got mixed up.

Like yourselves Redhill have, in the last 4 or 5 years built new changing rooms,a covered terrace plus new clubhouse. They also have plans for a stand very similar to yours. I fail to see how it can be in a worse state than 6 or 7 years ago.Have you been there recently?

Right you Numpties Ash is in fecking Surrey it is part of Guildford it is only put down as Ash near Aldershot because of the old postall adresses. the A331 runs along the boundary lines between the 2 counties, to the West is hampshire, Aldershot, Farnborough,Cove, Fleet etc.To the East are ASH Frimley Camberley,Guildford etc,the Mill lane roundabout at the top of Ash rd has the 'welcome to SURREY' sign on it.

You're quite wrong there Spursfan as there no such place as Middlesex officially whatever the diehards say it doesn't exist it went out of existence with Rutland.
Staines is now in Surrey so depending where the border is and I'm not sure, some of those teams are in Surrey or various London Boroughs as are Chessington and Hook, Wembley, Raynes Park, Wembly, North Greenford. Oh and by the way I think Ash is in Surrey too.
I do agree though with the Redhill thing although the Sussex league mileage is greater the driving is definately easier.
