agree Harry and good opinion too. He and myself now are not slating Akinde - far from it - he's been a revelation. BUT his finishing for the last couple fo weeks has been not very good, at best. thats all. class player - loads of potential and still young...

For a young lad ( ooh err...old bloke giving an opinion....shoot him !), Akinde has the attributes & talent to go a lot further than our standard of football. Up to him & the coaches really ( did I say coaches ? B*llocks !!).

If he does make it to a higher level, I suppose everyone will say something like.......yes, saw him as a young lad at Ebbsfleet.....always rated him & knew he would make it !!

I have seen a lot worse players at San Stonebridge than Big John !

I thought Focus were absolutely excellent. I had seen them play at the height of their popularity when Jan Akkerman was still with the band. The new guitarist is a fantastic replacement. I even got to speak to Thijs and shake him by the hand after the show. I have just emailed my Dutch friend (also a fan) to tell him. And no, he isn't a member of MyFC as far as I know. He supports RKC Waalwijk but has seen the Fleet play a few times in the past when visiting Kent.

I agree that John has all the attributes to make him a quality forward capable of stepping up a few divisions. However, following his comical attempts to get the ball onto his right foot prior to Stacy's goal, I feel that he really must do some work on his left foot.

 

There are quite a few players in our team that are very one footed (George is a prime example). Methinks some summer practice is in order, they are professional footballers after all
