Margateshot. Sorry, I have to disagree with you. Farnboro', Leigh haven't reformed. AFC Telford (have you seen the crowds they get)are a "new club" in the same stadium as Telford United (a bit of a Dover really)and Scarborough have folded, although a new club has formed.

 

I don't believe Mr Piper and Mr Lever are committed to a Grade "A" stadium (5000 capacity and 1000 seats) as things currently stand.

 

I guess I'll learn more at the EGM on April 28th

Why all the panic.

The only thing that has happened is that an egm has been called, and as most of us recognised the need-the board have got rid of a useless manager.

 

Should we not be pleased as opppoosed to doom and gloom.

Perfectly right Michael.I made a similar post to yours & then remembered that the E.G.M has a thread all of its own.My thoughts are being transferred to that particular thread.

Alan Curbishley Quoted on Radio 5 live this morning , 2yrs in management is no time in footy anymore , everyone wants instant success with no mishaps on the way . He was talking about David Moyes in particular and the way he has beaten all the big time boo boys because people around him believed him even though he had (screwed up on the way )to making Everton one of the BIGGEST clubs that play in the Prem . Its taken the guy 4-5 yrs to do this but now they are mounting a challenge . He also quoted that in the records of footy that teams that constantly change there managers have no relitive success , so do we follow the books or do we have one desent manager to carry us through the next 5-10 yrs . The board decides who that person should be so do they make the 1st vital error or do they make the perfect one for all suporters of the club . Up the Gate.

TOTALY agree HDF,but you cant please everybody,instant success is what the likes of MM want,but cant wait for it,RT has done nothing wrong,think back when he was named as boss,then budget cuts,lose players,injuries ect:To put it mildly I am getting p$ssed off with fans who blame everybody but the board,because thats where its starts,we will see what happens in the near future.

Tony-you obviously have not read my threads (probably very sensible) but had you taken the trouble you will see that i consistently comment that i do not want instant success-mid table is ok this season and again next for me.

 

What i did not want to see was a manager who has learned nothing in 24 months and was taking the club backwards to Ryman south.

 

The guy was just not cut out to be a manger at this stage of his career.

Once he is a bit older and wiser he will probably be brilliant.

Well I for one,always hope for & want us to be promoted,every year! No matter who the manager is or who the players are.
