Just been reading Aldershots Forum. They were discussing what teams are still in the conference from when they joined. Someone mentions that in their first season they playedMargate, Leigh RMI, Telford, Farnborough and Scarborough. I hope thats not an omen as all the others have folded and reformed!!!

I dont think we should be so negative. At 3-1 I'm sure everybody was very happy and we were playing well.If you analyse why we lost it was mainly because we gave away to many free kicks around the box and we gave away far to many some of which were defenders climbing all over strikers. They scored 2 goals from these set pieces and while you can defend some of them it is inevitable that some will produce goals.Giving away so many free kicks around the box can be addressed with good coaching.Other than that I think we played well against a Folkstone team who also played very well.

Shame about todays result, but seeing we couldn't really achieve much more this season, I do hope that it enables Folkestone to stay up.

I for one am looking forward to next season at Hartsdown especially if we get more of the same as the last two. Both 9 goal thrillers. So long as we always get at least 5 of them that is.

apart from an entertaining game with 9 goals i thought the choir had smartened up its act and were very entertaining and in terrific humour, did'nt hear any bad language in the second half standing between the choir and the pa box. Perhaps this might encourage others to give us another try next year.Well done.

I think that when the subs came on, given the fact that the PA wasn't working, someone should have walked around with a board with the names chalked on it.

Not sure about the full extent of his injury Michael but he did manage to limp to the presentations in the bar & got a thoroughly deserved round of applause for his efforts. Can't see him playing in our last game but who knows.

Nice one Cookie - and, seriously, thanks for going round with the winning numbers board. Much appreciated.

Not there so difficult to comment; but reading the match report;could it be argued that the substitution of Smith (i assume for injury ) and then Peters injury and more defensive disruption-was a major factor in the latest capitulation-and whilst i am normally one of the first to criticise the defence-maybe yesterday, the injuries/substitutions played a major part; and thus it was not quite such an abject defensive performance as usual.

reads like there was a fair but of disruption-i imagine we lost grip in midfield with Jay going to defence aswell-and it seems the Folkestone goals came after this disruption .

Right or am i being too forgiving for once ?

Shocking yesterday. I don't even know where to begin! Scoring four goals (especially at home) and not winning is unforgivable. Wholesale changes needed at the back. Scotty, I felt, actually was at fault for three of the goals. Granted, he is a good shot-stopper, but there is more to goalkeeping that simply that. If we had a striker who solely had pace, but couldn't score or win the ball in the air or even hold the ball up, we wouldn't settle for that - he would be straight out the door!

Joseph was awful again yesterday; where is the player who looked so impressive in his first few games? Can't defend, no composure on the ball, awful distribution.

I'm afraid I can only see it getting worse next season, taking into account the lower budget.

possiblty DM-but we may just get a manager who can coach and organise a team.

Ok-its normally money that wins a team the titles-but if we could minimally organise ourselves and keep a shape-that would have salvaged some points this season.

Ashford and hendon do not appear to have massive budgets.

I'm not expecting miracles next season-mid table will do.

I just want to see a manager who is not clueless.
