League cup final

Quite a good game last night, Merstham go 1 up in 1st half with BG not using the pace up ffront well enough. Bedfont Green come back into the game in 2nd and go 2-1 up, Merstham get equaliser and both side could have won in the final minutes of normal time. BG keeper and center half get in each others way and Merstham score their 3rd and probably the best goal of the night for their 4th in 2nd period of extra time.

 

Entertaining with plenty of bookings, a little bundle but generally play in a good spirit.

Erm...... I did not have a leeemonard as it was a tad chilly and they would not allow me to bring my drum in, surprisingly I did not sing at all as they did not have karaoke !!!!

It was a great game although I suppose I would say that seeing as we won. What I want to know is, where did all those BG supporters come from??? When we went there this season, there were only about 10 home fans there. Somehow they managed to find about 250 loudmouths last night!!

 

Sadly I couldn't really enjoy the free bar at the club last night as I had a really bad cough which only got worse all evening. I then spent all night coughing up phlegm and throwing up and feel like death warmed over today. Bet you're glad I told you that.

I wondered where thay all came from too, noisy fookers and one or two bad apples but generally BG youth which was good too ses.

Hi Guys . Those loudmouths as you are calling them , were ours youths teams from the age of 7 upwards , They done us proud,Also it was a very good game , Young Charlie the ref , was abit handy with the yellow cards. Still on the night good all round game , Was not BGFC time to win , our time will come , Good Luck to Mertsham in the league above next year.I wish them well.

Some of those 'loudmouths' can't have played youth football for about 40 years! Anyway, I wasn't complaining, their support was very strong and commendable. It's just a shame they don't go to games very often.
