Great win for the Boys. gate totally dominated the first 1/2. First goal by Shannon( I believe) and 2nd by the German(Chris Lewis. Dover scored from the spot 2nd 1/2.

Game could easily have been 5 or 6-1.

Cannot pick out anyone who didn't have a good game. From Roberto through to the subs. Very impressed by the Schultz look a like who came on second 1/2, I believe his christian name is Luke.

As i work Saturday night's i don't see the under 18's, so I apologise for not knowing his name.

The talent coming through his awesome, if we can keep them together and can let Mark keep them until ready.

Must give Corbishley a contract as Jim Ward was sniffing again tonight. Our reserve games seem to attract him as well as other scouts these days.

Bitter cold AB. I had 2 tee shirts, 2 Sweat shirts and a fleece under my jacket and was still cold.

Can't wait for the 25 miles per hour easterly wind it's forcasting for Saturday.

Sorry I wasn't there too to do a report. Luke was probably Luke Wheatley just 16 years old, sounds like another good find along with Lamprell and Taylor for the future of Margate.

Well done lads, probably a chance of 2nd spot now in the Eastern Division applause

Thank you man in Black. By the way Zander, you also had a good game.

I will stand corrected but i think there were at one time or another 5 under 16's in the winning side.

Yes Michaelmichael he is a centre half.

Never thought I'd get excited about watching a central defander play. I always love to admire skill players, probably goes back to the days of watching George Best on the old Black and White tele. Hence up until this point I've loved watching the runs from Corbishley, McAree and German in these games.

Yet this lad looks very special indeed.

The most enjoyable experience about watching these games is these lads can play football without the worry of anyone getting on their backs. Plus the result doesn't really matter so I can just sit back and be entertained, and several of them certainly can do that.

I know its not Ryman Premier standard but that's probably what makes it so exciting on the eye. They can try things on the ball and they certainly do that.

I'd just like to say yet again thanks to all for bringing this football (reserves) to Hartsdown. Especially Mark Weatherly and staff for catching such a good crop of young lads.

On a selfish note I hope all these lads remain intact for next season. I would imagine that the Kent League Premier teams like Herne Bay, Deal Town and Faversham Town will be willing to offer them a few quid to play for them next season.

If they do decide to take this route I hope they come back to play for Margate one day and show the same entertaining football at a higher level, in our 1st team.
