There was no minority getting it changed. Eurostar issued their statement when the vote result was announced. When you are voting on an issue that has been proposed by a third party - they always retain the right to change what they propose. I voted yes - but do support the decision by Eurostar to go in a different direction. Eurostar have been fantastic as sponsors and have done a lot to boost MyFC as well.

where exactly does it say in the rules that third parties have a right of veto over the democratic MyFc voting process..?

Funny that. Eurostar blame it on members not wanting it to happen, read their statement if you don't believe me!

Which proves my point - there was a vote. the majority of voters said yes, but it doesn't go ahead - Democracy, brought to you by MyFC in association with Mugabe Enterprises!!

This is a direct quote from your original post Dom. I think it kinda proves my point that Eurostar are using SOME members views to not carry out the wishes of the MAJORITY of the voters.

You really should read what you post...

What an absurd statement given the vote. This is, I suspect, someone's paraphrasing of a discussion with Eurostar not a statement from Eurostar. Now I wonder who had that discussion, MyFC logo on the shirt instead, now let me think.....

I trust as Eurostar sponsor the team/club (not MyFC) then all supporters of the club will be eligable for the prize draw...I'll look forward to purchasing my ticket at the game on Saturday.

Give us a break Pat - since last November, as far as you are concerned MyFC can do no right.

Eurostar made an offer to make advertising space available on the team jersey and MyFC had a vote to accept the offer. It was up to Eurostar to decide whether to proceed. When the initial vote was announced you led the charge to condemn the idea.

I voted yes because I appreciated the offer from Eurostar. After reading some (of the more sensible) comments here and on MyFC and having a think about it, I ended up firmly in the no camp. I believe there are a significant number who voted like me. There has been no 'outcry' on MyFC that Eurostar were ignoring the vote - because they are not. The are adopting a sensible approach and members of MyFC recognise this fact. They have read the arguments for and against and have decided to go in a different direction.

You got you're way - you should be congratulating Eurostar on not putting the names of eleven MyFC members on the team jersey for Wembley, rather than being your usual negative self. Think it's time to let you wallow in your self-imposed misery.

don't know - this is up to Eurostar - they are the ones making the offer - it's up to them to decide how to do it. Personally, I would support including all MyFC members and non-members who support EUFC.

whats the point of having a vote if eurostar had the the power to make the decision..? Surely just a sham that backfired so mugabwe took over..

Oh dear, a regular supporter speaks up and you resort to the "you're being negative" argument. Can't find another way to win your argument Dom?

And negative or not, this whole shirt nonsense is just another example of what a joke MyFC is becoming.

Only 3,000 of you vote, and you want to PTT. God help us!!

MyFC have done some right Dom, far outweighed by doing things very wrong. I couldn't start before November, until then - the majority of the MyFC members thought they were getting LUFC... Now, there's a match made in heaven!

I "Led the Charge"? Hmm, funny then how there were 3 other MyFC members who use this forum posting negative points before I did, including this "Have to say I am not happy with the idea" - posted by your good self!

Strange when you read the above

Vote first, think later??

Well, the MOST there could have been was 1920. I guess that's significant in MyFC terms

Probably because in MyFC-land, having a vote isn't the final decision anyway!!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha - Read that again Dom. And think about what you really wanted to say.

This has nothing to do with Eurostar - its about MyFC. Its about having a vote on something. And then when the MyFC members make their wishes known, deciding not to follow them.

Sat here, big mug of tea in hand, smile on face cos I know you are RATTLED, will be there for last home game Saturday, tickets in hand for Munster game on Sunday, realising Wembley is only an hour-long trip,... Yup, life is indeed very miserable!! cry

Seeing as Eurostar have back tracked , should we now vote on whether they should be our sponsor next year and if the vote is conclusive then have a recount until we get the result we want.

Or alternatively , should we not get a board in place at the club to make decisions.

If anyone thinks im right , send me a PM where I will hold an informal and misguided count based on not telling anyone any facts followed by a sitting on the fence statement slating the voting mechanism where I will ask why Chris P hasnt responded to an email I sent 3 nanoseconds ago and indeed responded to an eamil I am not going to send until next saturday at 8:32am.

Maybe they scoured this forum, decided not to upset the locals, as most were against it. Then promptly make the decision to put MYFC on the shirt. I wonder what is wrong with just large letters saying Ebbsfleet Utd ?Or Fast track your way to wembley with Ebbsfleet Utd etc etc.

What's wrong with leaving the shirt the same as the very expensive replicas they have been expecting us to buy?

More revenue for them through shirt sales?...........Now that's just a conspiracy, of course!
