Yes, the Jim Bradshaw Trophy, currently held by the ESL Select team, is up for grabs again on Sunday 11th May 2008, kick off 2pm at Bridge Avenue.

 

There is a function in the clubhouse that day so "The Marquee Bar" (attached to the Urchins Bar for the day) will be open from 12 Noon and a BBQ will be laid on for all after the game, there will be satellite TV in the Marquee Bar for play off swatching draught and bottled ales and the Eastside Burger Bar will open before and during the game for those hungry souls who cannot wait for the BBQ. Technical areas will be in the Eastside Directors Boxes and the entrance fee is

its always difficult to arrange the dates for these games as they clash with so many fixtures in may and if you add in players away on hols etc its almost impossible...

 

just as an aside and much worthy of a mention...asa pamplin captains a celtic team at parkhead the following week...and that is a testimony to a quiet man who was never given the praise he deserved as a a player and who is currently the most successful manager in the country at senior reserve level...(games won and trophys collected within 12 months)...50,000 at parkhead and what an honour...well done ace...

 

I just hope they don't nick him for strachans replacement grin)

 

anyway... you are all welcome for what will definitely be a great day and a worthy cause as some of the dosh will go to the ESL....a day to put aside tribal prejudices and petty local feuds and let essex be the winner... smile

 

normal forum slangings however will follow on the monday... devil
