DFC 1 - Bookham 2: 15/04/08

Recommended Posts

Bookham score two first half goals before Dorking make a determined second half come back, pulling a goal back 20 mins from time as Chicks controlled possession. Bookham held on despite Dorking chances to equalise to secure the points.

Sorry I couldn't make the game. I did have a 'sick-note'

I'm sure DorkingNews will provide a fuller report later.

It's about right BJR, Bookham scored against the run of play and then fluked a 2nd goal, Dorking created some good chances in the 1st half and forced Bookham on the back foot in the 2nd half pulling one back and could have levelled the game, Bookham did have chances on the break to kill the game off.

I felt we were lucky to get all the points last night and looked jaded after Saturday's efforts against Chertsey.

maybe not if Burgess hill are kicked out of their ground and out of the ryman then perhaps no one will come down to replace Merstham who are going up of course Burgess Hill could groundshare and start again in the coco meaning dorking will go down after all or perhaps burgess hill will go in sussex replacing redhill who could join coco prem meaning dorking could still go down unless the nett number of teams leaving the coco due to location is higher than 1.2 thereby reprieving Dorking from relegation unless they lose the court case Tuesday which could mean they have to groundshare and take a demotion anyway with Bookham who could takeover at Burgess Hill and apply to play in the Ryman along with Merstham who won the league although Horsham YMCA may come down and Horsham have ground issues so if they all groundshared at Burgess Hill and Meadowbank perhaps everyone could play at the level their season's finishing positions warrant but that would of course be silly.

another - eat your heart out!
