I can't see much of a shock announcement, wouldn't be surprised if Steve McKimm isn't given the job after Saturdays game at the end of season presentations!!

You are right about the budget Alan, but if we dont find someone experienced enough to take this club onwards and upwards it could be another couple of wasted years, and they had just as well give the job to me or you!

The club had to take a big risk some years ago, after years of poor seasons, and appoint a high profile manager. They appointed CK, gates rose and we climbed to the top of the pyramid with successes along the way including Sky TV. I believe the club need to do this again and think carefully about who they appoint. There are a lot of big names out there, I'm sure, who would love to take the job on. If they get the right person the supporters will return, people love success. We know this for a fact because we have been there before. I stated right at the beginning that the club were making a mistake appointing a player manager, they are rarely successful at any level, and I think that has been proved. If RT was on the sidelines I think things may have been different. I would love it, but I cant see CK returning here, not with mostly the same directors still here. The one problem I see now is that we have got rid of RT and it will take time to appoint a new manager. The one problem I see is that if it is done properly, and we look for the right manager, then again we will be half way through the close season struggling to find players who have already been snapped up by other clubs in the next few weeks as contracts expire. Therefore it needs to be done ASAP, unless they already have someone lined up!!

It is getting a bit frustrating that people seem to be aware of something serious around the corner but won't let anyone else in on the secret.

I understand that it would only be speculation at the moment but for people to feel that some fans have information that they cannot get is a bit annoying.

I always liked him as a player and hoped he would make a good manager. But he didnt. And your right player manager rarely works in the proffesional game.
Hope the club take their time this time and dont rush to make an appointment. Be good if it was somebody who was based in the town or a lot closer than bromley.
