I just rang Robin as only just asked him this weeks questions. He told me he would have resigned at end of season and Board were aware of that.

 

He also added he wishes Margate all the best for the future.

i think he was going to resign at the end of the season anyway, shame as seemed as nice genuine guy

Call me a pessimist if you wish but I just can't see who would want the job, if we are serious about promotion next year we need a manager of note not one with no history one who is able to recruit quality and if thats the case we need finance to pay for them, although our average attendance is still 4th in the League which is incredible really when you examine the results, I just do not think financially we can achieve that. God do I hope i am wrong.

Only because they were probably aware that Trotty would walk Michael, stops them looking silly IMO.

quite few people remarking on what a lovely guy robin was i would like to echo those points too BUT nice guys don't always produce the goods, CK was a nice guy and he did produce the goods over 10 years but his time was still due by the end of his reign. I would like to wish Robin all the best in his career yes he was a nice guy but i personally think the right decision was taken, think the carshalton result last night may have been a factor in releasing him now.
