Puts Ashford in pole position then for play offs, even though they have Chelmsford at home last game of season.

 

Shows what a strange season it is because we took 3 points of Hornchurch and 4 of both Ashford and Staines. Thats football!

Went along to Ashford v Carshalton last night. Carshalton looked purposeful at the start with Side beavering away up front but conceded a terrible goal and Ashford went 2-0 up in half an hour. Carshalton went 4-3-3 after the interval and Standen was taken off. They had a couple of decent chances but didn't take them and it was 3-0 when a penalty was saved and the rebound was drilled in.

 

Ashford are a well drilled side, on last night's showing taking four points off them was quite an achievement. Now they have their noses in front I think they'll make the play-offs. Last two games are at East Thurrock and at home to Chelmsford who, obviously, have nothing to play for. Carshalton are going down.

Thanks for update CE. Misread it at first I thought you had said Standen sent off!

 

I like their No 4 Ricky Wellard, looks a class player and seems to score a few goals from midfield.
