Rhodsey as much as we all enjoy the banter that makes this a great forum my opinions are based on football when it comes to going up, the best 2 sides are Kentish and Harringay (it pains me to say as an opposing manager), they are also the 2 sides I feel are best equipped for the prem and i have explained my reasons for that before. I do however feel sorry for Hoddy there fighting spirit is enviable when clearly not the best 'footballing' side although it's not over yet i'm sure they still fancy themselves.

With many improving sides i fear this div may be even harder next season with 1 of the above 3 add Benfica, Bedford, Bradwell, Royston, Ampthill, Amersham, Stoney and 2 fast improving reserve sides in Cheshunt and Bedford Town(i haven't even gone in 2 the sides coming down. Lets just say a good year to go up !!

I'm sure Football Man and HTFCew spotted this post on Toy Kempster's Forum but for some strange reason didn't copy it across, could that be because it shows us in a positive light:

Seeing as you like to be repetitive, remind everyone how many points Kentish Town earned in Division 2 of the Middlesex County Football League last season? 0 points? So what mentality did you have then?

It is good to see you are in line to finally win something this season and not just by default.

I know the reason why we have let it go this season. It is nothing to do about being found out but it is about building for the future. Climbing the ladder as quickly as we have done has meant that we needed a breather and time to reflect on our journey ahead.

Just to correct you as we know you hate to post incorrect information - that was Kentish Town Reserves last year and they earned 9 points! (they were deducted 9 points for 3 uncontested games)

Yes and we lost interest on that infamous afternoon over Regents Park against Camden and Ampthill when one of our players was almost killed by a thug mascarading as a Camden supporter. The Middlesex League did not lift a finger when the incident was reported which says everything about the League which is just a money making operation headed up by Eddie Mee.

0 points - quite an achievement - Reserves or not reserves, still Kentish Town FC.

My point is no one can win all the time. Odds are stacked in your favour that you will win at the very least promotion, if not the championship.

One of my mottos is: Win with grace, lose with dignity.

Bear that in mind when you comment about other teams. Benfica were Champions 2 years running, a feat that got us to where we are now. We didn't expect to win, like we didn't expect to win this year.

If it is KT's turn to win something, excellent. Next season it will be someone else's turn.

Special 1, I hope that post wasn't aimed at me! I spent most of last year playing for them, if only they had the skill to match there spirit!

If Kentish Town get promoted it will be bacuse they finished in a promotion place unlike the 2003-04 season when they gained promotion from Division Two for finishing 10th in the league along with Amersham who finished 16th out of 17 teams. But over the last couple of years teams competing for promotion or fighting relegation have have ended up staying in the league that they were already in. No Club should expect to be playing in a league until the League AGM as all clubs have to vote on the constitution of the league before anything can be confirmed offically as some clubs have found to their cost.
