Wow Wow Wow.. this could be the telling night, Congratulations.

I wonder how strong the Ampthill side was do you have a team sheet Rhodsey ?

And after going 1 down sounds similar to our game last week on Horace's stats, so much for fitness issues winning 2 games in the last 25mins and getting a point in the last minute all in 6 days!

KTFC played very poor in first half.
At half time couldnt see them winning, but they came out second half flying.2 good saves by KT keeper at 1-1 and rest of game
was mainly KT on attack and excellent 3rd goal to round it off.

Yes he is now on schedule to win the division 1 golden boot, it was noticeable that Keeper No.1 left as soon as Lee scored his second goal looking like he had lost a shilling and found sixpence

rhodes, you are really pi55ing me off...you know the reason we were there tonight... and we actually left with 10mins left so we could beat the rush tongue

and if i did 'lose a shilling and find sixpence' id still be thruppence better off than you.

McMullen - I believe this was the Ampthill Town line up:
Andy Gibb, Keith Snaylam, Liam McClurg, Leo Marsala, Jon Lewis, Craig Moss, Mike Owens, Craig Townsend, Stuart Reynolds, Christian Lester and Martin Wells. The subs were Matt Quinn, Paul Munday, Neil Mangan and Anthony Wright. Although Ampthill took the lead through Owens on 28 minutes and led at the interval I think they had one eye on the Division 1 Cup Final and Reynolds had a very quiet game by his standards.

Team was actually:

Andy Gibb

Craig Moss
Jonny Lewis
Keith Snaylam
Neil Mangan

Paul Mundy
Matt Quinn
Craig Townsend
Christian Lester

Stu Reynolds
Michael Owens

We wanted to win the game and thought we were in with a chance at half time. Kentish came flying out the blocks in the second half and played some very good football. We looked a bit tired and some players, noticeably Stu Reynolds were well off it after playing 4 games in 5 days (he plays for his Dad's Sunday side who also have mid week fitures).

Kentish are always difficult to play against in my opinion because so many of their players just seem to 'play where they want' but in possession they are good on the ball and this current Kentish side has a lot of pace in all areas of the park.

An example of this was their 3rd goal - Lee Scott came all the way back to our half way line during one of their attacks, partly to have a moan at someone. The ball broke to him and he went on a little mazy before doing a great one two with the giant front runner and cooly slotting it home - unmarked!!!

PS I dont think Willow was playing. Good save though and we hit the cross bar during that little spell!

Willo was safe and sound warming the plastic again. Will resume normal duty Wed. Neil is a quality keeper and the shot/header that hit the bar he pushed up there with good reactions.

We have to stop giving goals away!!!

SMF I'm I right in thinking you too were keeping the plastic warm? if so why?

Apologies for not staying behind last night I was a bit peed off at not playing.

SMF do you think your cup runs may have caused you to be out of the title race this year?

Thanks, I assume from that you would like to see us go up as opposed to both Haringey and Hoddesdon, I think you saw first hand from your enjoyable visit to the Copthall Stadium last Wednesday that we try to do everything right at Kentish Town whilst wearing our hearts on our sleeves and smiles on our faces, I don't think Hoddesdon and, in particular, Haringey necessarily do that.

Southmidsfan - Why didn't you introduce yourself afterwards, presumably you were in the tea bar area with all your team mates tucking into the feast we provided, note that we didn't let you anywhere near our boardroom on this occasion. I was surprised to see your Secretary Eric had made the trip down, was that his first away game of the season.

I was indeed in 'tea bar area'. Enjoyed the sandwiches, thank you - not too sure about the giant pieces of 'chicken' with bone marrow. I also had a nice cup of tea before heading off on our long journey home.

I assume you were the extremely tall man who was giving the officials their little brown packets.

You probably know Eric better than I do. I only ever speak to him when he wants money off me. Even then it's a very one sided conversation in that I don't actually speak back and just walk away.............bless him!!!!!

Did Lee really score a second goal looking like that - there's a lot to be said for punctuation!!!!!!!!!!
