BilL Robertson R.I.P.

I must sadly report the passing of Bill Robertson, my successor as General Secretary of Ilford FC, who died from a heart attack this morning.

 

Bill joined Ilford FC from Woodford Town FC some 9 years ago and was a well known and popular figure on both the Essex Senior League and Isthmian League scene.

 

There are no funeral details available as yet. I assume that these will be available from Ilford FC in the next few days.

I worked with him as a kid at Kings Holiday Park where he worked for years in charge of the swimming pool.

 

Loved selling a bit of gold from his pool side office !
