The only possible justification I can see for expanding the board is the current board saying that they have looked at the workload and its too much for 7 people. Being year 1 and its new, there has to be an element of mistakes being made and hopefully corrected quickly if needed.

 

On a second point, there is an article posted today to get a proper vote mechanism in place. ie, a number of members think something could happen, if there is enough support it goes to a vote, and then it is a yes or no. In the way 7 board members is being debated, the percentage of members needed to go to a vote is being debated. What I mean is, I think a figure of 0.5 % is mentioned. Somebody has already asked if this can be reviewed at a fixed point in the future to see if its too high or too low. Could be evidance of MYFC improving its methods as time goes on. Mistakes will be made, I hope they are learned and not repeated.

Personally, I was suprised Mugabe's name wasn't at the bottom of the player of the season voting slips on Saturday.

King Ell - I know its still a new idea way to run a football club, but surely the idea of voting has been around for centuries now - and only in corrupt (Zimbabwe) or terminally stupid (USA) places do they get it as fecked up as this!
