It's all a mess on the MyFC forums. It started sliding when too many Fleet Trusters were elected to the board. The members/money will decrease as it all becomes local to you guys, and MyFC becomes your 'web supporters' group and/or an addition to the Fleet Trust.

Chris Blanc, did you just become Forum Team and replace two long standing pre-EUFC members?

Those of you who really wanted MyFC to pay the money then just go away have won a few battles over the last couple of days.

There are still a lot of MyFCers with good intentions, and are now firm Fleet supporters. And perhaps we'll get through this together - perhaps not.

It didn't start when too many "Fleet Trusters" (2 I believe) were elected to the board, it may well have started when several people with too little time and too large a mouth didn't like the result of a democratically elected board, but who knows for sure.

No, I didn't replace anyone on any forum board. I was asked about a month ago (I think it was the home leg of the FAT semi) if I'd do it and I accepted. I think I officially started about a fortnight ago.

And anyone who thinks that we can't all get through this together just actually needs to turn up to a game. I sat with 7 people at the Farsley game at one time or another I think. Of these 7, 2 were 'original' fans, 4 were MyFC and one was Allstars. We had a fine time, more should do the same.

Chris, you must admit though it's all gone a bit local. And some MyFCers are starting to believe that nothings going to change. It all becomes Fleet Trust. But you got some money to keep EUFC afloat. The Chris P issue would be simply amusing if there weren't some truth to the comments from the conspiracy theorists.

I've seen a number of away games. Still no desire to go to Stonebridge. MyFC can help a bit, but attendance really is a local issue.

Bit defeatist early on there ianinho... there'll be another election next year and I'd imagine MyFC members won't make the mistake again and we'll probably be lucky to see any locals on the board.

Plus, the locals that are there now will know they're under scrutiny and will likely strive extra hard not to appear so parochial.

Yes sorry, I am feeling a bit defeatist. I think what I wanted to say to some of the fans here was 'be careful what you wish for, it might come true'.

Maybe the locals have been appearing not to be parochial. Maybe it's just appearance and some of them get caught out occasionally.

Local fans, perhaps, but local board members on the whole seem to me to be taking a wider and more open view.

Thanks Stu. Trouble is it's difficult to see any changes through a website. We just have to take your word for it. And the higher profile members of 'your' community can be seen as being representative.

The board results and the defensiveness of the board are correct, but a bit of an own goal. I can't prove it, but I do think people are leaving in droves.

But hey, the sun's shining, and there's a game tonight (on the radio for me). This was never about politics (or money) it's about the Fleet and football.

When I went to Kidderminster, it was cold, we lost and it was a midweek game. I didn't get rained on though, and the food was actually quite pleasant. It's a start; someday I'll qualify as a fan.

And we're all going to Wembley. I might buy a big hand, just to annoy the traditionalists.

This all sounds very much like sour grapes. If the majority of subscribers had been bothered to vote perhaps the outcome would have been different. But if members are leaving "in droves" this is more likely because MyFC didn't achieve the numbers needed to buy a much more debt ridden club in the Football League that they had for some strange reason desired.

The successful "locals" in the election seem to be wise choices. People who have the interests of the Club as their priority. What would you prefer, mavericks who will tear the club apart as they appear to be succeeding in doing to your own forum?
