Matt Stevens had a word with the southern league!? Very depressing league that! No trips to oxford, the brillaint tea bar at godalming or a weekend trip to Truro! ( although i am sure peter simpson will be glad of that!) I cannot see how sides like godalming will be able to afford to travel THAT far so i can't see the league staying like that!

cant see why andover and winchester would be in midlands and aylesbury and rothwell who are northants would be in southern.

I think the Kempster-Dog is speculating how the FA will deal with the fact there are not enough northern teams at step 4 level.

 

Although he's normally quite accurate I think this time he's trying to suggest what he thinks the FA should do if they had any common sense...which they don't so there is no need to worry.

 

From a purely selfish point of view that looks a really boring league. I much prefer the league we are in with the odd trip to the West Country.

 

At least we would avoid Truro, although it will be disappointing to miss out on a good away trip, from a football point of view it will be good as whatever league they end up in next season you get the impression everyone else is going to end up merely playing for a play-off place.

Us boys at Bracknell are the same as you and looking forward to a trip to Cornwall.... especially now we've lost our Isle Of Wight jolly.

 

We did have Newport both times in January so if we do get Truro in our division, hopefully it will be a better time of the year!
