Can anyone explain why Tonbridge have suddenly been able to shoot up the league from a relegation position whilst we Margate have not made any progress. When we played them at home they were awful. Could it be they had the nous to change their manager mid season

I am not privy to these things but i suspect the budget for this season was still among the top 5/6.

What will happen next season then as -again an assumption-surely the budget based on attendances will be smaller still and maybe genuinely a lower mid table budget next season.

I'd take a mid table result for next season, but fear a relegation battle coming on.

Is my fear is unwarranted ?

How can you say he hasnt had the budget. so bringing in yanni on double his wages at Ramsgate is no budget ? half the managers in the Rymans would like Margates budget for playing staff.

It was even better last season which he did'nt manage to use in the right direction on playing staff so all these excuses don't wash with me.

Yianni would have been on peanuts Tony at Ramsgate so double would not have been much anyway. We all know you are not a Trotty lover Tony, for obvious reasons which I can see why, I agree last season was our chance but I believe with the cuts (and they were big!) if we had of gone up we would have struggled.

If Trott had got Margate up his budget could have gone up too.
The directors can not pay money out that the club does not generate unless they dip in to their own pockets. Crowds this season have gone down as it looks like Margate have gone from being the second best team in Kent a few years back to the second best in Thanet.

I assume you are talking about last summer, then the Goodfellow departure, and then the Side departure, Pagey?

They were probably cut due to dwindling crowds. If they were more successful on the pitch crowds would have gone up. So in my mind thats down to the Manager again. If he had spent wisely and gone for quality opposed to quantity i believe the team would have been in the play offs now. Just my opinion.
