Aldershot segregation - Official news

What an absolute farce

Total attendance around 1400 of which it would seem only around 800 to 900 came from Hampshire. Therefore attendance from home supporters in the region 600 to 700.

I hear it now, where was all the home supporters? why don't they turn up to support their local club?

I think both of those questions have easy and obvious answers!

problem is david you now have remote leadership being dictated to by forum intelligence....and don't forget these people actually do believe that everything written on the internet is the gospel...

the whole issue screamed tickets only for visiting fans..

poor show really and we in little ol' urchinland shall learn from that with the visit of afcw for our last home game which may or may not have something riding on it...

It actually seemed about 1700.

About 850 Aldershot fans.

The usual 100 in the main stand,

100 on the little terrace,

150-200 in the Nortfleet end

the usual 400-450 in the main road stand up to the clock.

Do the maths.

1450 it wern't!!! But of course, we know the declared attendances are always spot on.

Gary, it was hardly in club's interest to under declare the gate was it?

Brilliant goal from McPhee to equalize and it was a joy to see the 900 go completely silent in a flash.

How did you enjoy that Robert?
That was as good as we have played all season, including cup games. Top game of football, in my opinion.

It would be if they were suppressing the income - VAT would therefore not be paid on the undeclared sum.
Just hope the VAT man isn't keeping a watch on us - it isn't the first time this season the gate has been declared surprisingly under estimates.

That old chestnut!

VAT is based on th ecash not the crowd numbers. There is no way that anyone can calculate VAT from an annouced crowd.

How many season ticket holders, how many concessions. It's what goes in the bank that determines the VAT.

Still as a loyal member of HMRC you will no doubt be notifying your suspicions to the local VAT office.

Keep up to date David. I ceased with that lot on 4th April. Now with the Home Office - UKBA.

If there were 900 of them, wouldn't that allow 550 of us to make 1450? That's more than 500
