At just 45p a fantastic read, complete quality and not at all depressing. Murders, vandalism, druggies etc...Ezekiel must be very proud. Anyway, I digress. On the football front; Justin Skinner is retiring after advice from a specialist about his injury which is a shame. Trotty quotes this week are that youth are the future, we probably won't make the play offs and he praises the defence for Saturday???????

My particular favourite is "people say we've had a bad season but you could say that about anyone". Er, you can't really say that about teams that have had a good season though could you?

Have Chelsford or even R*msgate had a bad season, no.

My favourite piece in this weeks edition is the marvellous full spread front page headline all about R*ms fans.

He actually says despite conceding 4 goals from set pieces he thought Young and Smith did ever so well (guess he means in open play?). Also praises Morris cxovering in Saunders absence.

Trotty is quoted as saying Youth is the only way the club can go forward. The fans want to see local talent, it keeps the wage bill down and its money for the club when players are sold on.

He adds We are trying to build a reputation for youth, so what we are saying is if there are boys out there who think they have the ability, the club is open to you. We will have a look at you, we can porganise trial games, we will do whatever we can.

He cites trials fror Aaron Quain (Gillingham), Matty Lamprell (Cardiff, QPR & Millwall), Ollie Gray (QPR), Alex Krunic (C Palace, MK Dons, Millwall.

On Justin Skinner I have done a new thread as I think he deserves his own.

Interesting !!

When you sit back and think about it though, we probably would have been better off sticking with Smith and Young from start of season at centre of defence-at least they should have formed a proper understanding by now.

Easy to say in hindsight though, and none of us thought that at start of season, or indeed throughout the season; so can't blame RT for not doing that either.

I agree Michael, at start of the season Young and Smith were superb in defence I seem to remember, we seemed to falter when Harte took the decision to go and forced Trott into playing Smith at right back which destroyed his confidence after a few torrid games.

Watching the Reserves for most of this season I believe me have some fine prospects coming through and am personally pleased that Trotty and the club appear to be saying the same.

I am tired of reading negative post's. Negative, negative negative. Negative, negative, negative. "Why". When there is so much going on at the Club that's positive. Being negative is like not smiling, it's easier, it's habit forming. Things are changing, a new culture is overtaking the club, be POSITIVE, it also makes the day go better and allows you to sleep better..
