Side terrace allocated to away fans for Shots game

What an absolute load of bollox!

Why not just switch the game to Aldershot, better still just give them the three points now and be done with it.

For the majority of the 40+ years I have followed the Fleet I have stood under the Stonebridge Road covered stand and just because some prat thinks its a good idea to accomodate all these extra Aldershite supporters, those that probably won't turn up anyway. Cram them into the Swanscombe end, just like we were crammed into their ground the other week.

Just another nail in the coffin as far as I am concerned, I will not now be going tomorrow night.

I've felt many emotions at Stonebridge Road but in 45 years of support I have never been made to feel unwelcome. Untill now. I won't be there tomorrow either.

Just another example of how this club takes the p1ss out of its true supporters.

I hope that all of the additional space given to the away supporters of Aldershite turns out to have been a waste of time and that all true supporters boycott this game in protest of what is the most ridiculus decision ever made by the powers that be at Stonebridge Road. If the boot was on the other foot, I can see the directors of Aldershot making such a crass decision ... NOT!!!

If they are expecting so many Aldershot supporters to turn-up why was it not made an all ticket game?

Supporters or money .... it seems that the club has made its decision.

How do you show that anger/disgust/displeasure at the game though? Another thing that has angered me that no one has mentioned, what about most of the people who don't read the internet, who are going to turn up and have nowhere to stand! This really is the first time I have actually considered not going to a game for a reason not related to my personal life!

From what information I have been able to find - it appears that the cops wouldn't issue a safety certificate unless the above provisions were made. They are expecting a lot of Aldershot fans to turn up. It appears that without a safety certificate - no one would be allowed into the ground. EUFC is obliged by FA rules to accomodate opposition supporters - so if we can't do that the cops won't issue the safety cert.

What a load of Bollox!!!

Surely EUFC are also obliged morally or otherwise to accomodate home supporters.

As I said previously if the club is expecting half off Aldershite to turn-up tomorrow night then the game should have been all ticket. Its sounds like its going to be a virtual home game for them anyway, so sod the safety certificate. I hope that all home fans boycott this game and think twice about going back for the next match.

I can hear the so called directors now bleating on about poor attendances and why locals don't turn up for matches, quite clearly local support is the last thing this club wants, if they did they would be treated far better and this disgraceful decision would be reversed. The supporters of Aldershite must be pi55ing themselves with laughter.

An absolutely fuc4!ng disgraceful decision.

No one seemed to bother about that at the Canvey game a few years ago, and I did not witness one piece of trouble !!

Yes of course the game has to be segregated, but what is safe about cramming those who stand on the Side Terrace either at the Plough End or in Geek Corner ( no offence to anyone, but I think this is what the little terrace is now unofficially known as !).

You cannot view the whole pitch from Geek Corner so if it packed out and the action is at The Swanscombe End....I doubt if the little wall will hold back a surge ( so to speak ). Sounds an 'elf & safety nightmare to me....but as long as there is plenty of room for the away fans then that's ok !!

I shall be leading the singing....."we want our terrace back".....and will need an extra few Strongbows to lubricate the old vocal chords !!

You'll be telling me that the bar won't be open next !!

Hirsty thats the next bit of bad news, home fans will have to use the Plough tomorrow night as due to segregation the club bar has been given over to the supporters of Aldershite.

Tell you what why don't they give the whole bloody ground to Aldershite and get Satanta to do a special transmission to Fleet Leisure where home supporters will be welcomed?
