I like that one Tony very amusing.Well Wellsie,Pinns strikes may well get him this vote & he deserves something I agree for being bang in form at the right time when others are flagging in their duties but Scott in goal has to be a strong contender for some miraculous goalkeeping. Young I thought had a good game too.Probably the only defender out there to come out with some credit.Pinns probably, but not a surefire winner.

Presumptuous, but spot on Cookie wink I thought SCS did have a good game - two excellent saves particularly - but at fault in my view with at least the first if not the second goal. I also thought that Ryan Martin was brilliant - perhaps his best game for us so far, and what a strike! Jacko had his best game for a while too. I know Robin sometimes likes to switch Ryan and Jacko during the game but I think they are most effective when they stay put. Macca and Morris had good games too.

It is weird that when you look individually at our back "5" they are all capable players at this level. It's just as a unit they sometimes seem to lack cohesion and confidence, particularly at set pieces - a point made by both Robin and Pinns in their interviews.

Another consistent theme of the post match interviews is that 'we defend too deep'.

Can someone tell me what exactly that means in plain english.

More importantly-if week after week we admit to our failings of 'defending too deep' and being 'poor at defending free kicks';what exactly happpens in training to improve the situation. You may not be able to improve quality of personnel-and as Wellsie says- quality is rrasonable anyway-but surely you can improve the organisation

We can't become perfect overnight-,but surely the idea of training is week by week to get small improvements in the areas of weakness-and thus after about 10 weeks you start to see real improvements.

Unfortunately-we are still waiting.

True Michael, but don't you just LOVE LIVING ON THE EDGE as we all were in the latter stages of the second half yesterday. I've bitten by finger nails down to the knuckles. grin

Perhaps the Club should take heed of Melvyn's suggestion that the club shop starts stocking heart pacemakers.
