but the bottom 6 clubs are the worst they have been since ive been playing. teams losing 13-0 12-0 and what not. certain games in the league are absolute bankers. used to be anyone could beat anyone on their day.

lets hope the situation sorts itself out in the summer and we get a decent quota of teams, run in the proper way and with the correct facilities.

to be fair to beaumont they are always decent at 0-0 and if you give them a sniff they will cause you problems. if you get the first 1/2 goals thats when they struggle.

The answer to this surely lies in the Essex Olympian League / Essex & Suffolk Border League! There are a number of teams in these leagues that would like to play in the Senior League, and would also like to set up a division 2 for the Senior League?

 

White Ensign would probably challenge the best in the Senior League! Other (very organised) clubs that I beleive would credit the Senior League include Mountnessing, Epping FC, Stambridge? (they have had problems recently though?). Yes funding maybe required for lights / changing faciities etc - but I am sure it would soon be found - other clubs would probably follow as well!

 

Surely the County and the Essex Senior League should be encouraging these clubs to progress and play in your league?

Teams like Beaumont, Mauritius, Basildon, etc are not likely to compete with the likes of Enfield, Concord and Eton Manor though, because they havent got budgets.

 

I know Barkingside dont have one, but the reason they are doing so well, is cause they are organised.

 

Its a well known fact, that the organised and disciplined teams in the ESL will do well, and I think that is a testament to Kris Taylor @ Barkingside, who has a great nucleus of a squad, with zero superstars. Hi Speedie! *waves*.

 

Beaumonts result against Eton Manor suprised everyone, but just goes to show, they only have to be organised for one game, and they can suprise anyone.

 

Even teams like Hullbridge are capable of it! Hi Coachie! grin

its not always about money. the club and how the club is run will make players interested in playing for them. romford and barkingside minimal-zero budget but good well run clubs and they both know how to play in the ESL.
