Cookie
In my pre-season predicton(P.L.2)for where Margate would finish I predicted 4th or was it 5th,so yes,I for one was hoping for a play-off spot this season.

Cookie
Possibly l.o.l. But when you think about 2 maybe 3 games that we literally gave away from being in total command we should ALREADY have been in a play-off place & at the least celebrating a continuation of our "top dog" status in Thanet. But thats another story altogether but we can still achieve that...even now, despite those failings! Boney Crisp
I predicted we would finish 5th as i thought the players we had, had the right mentality and at the start of the season we looked really up for it and it seemed to be more of a promising season, but that all went missing when we reached October. BlueGate Alan
But Alex we were 5th in the New Year, how can you say that?
Boney Crisp
Because we went on a good run of form and yes i started to believe that we could actually do it, but we threw that away with defeats to Hastings and Tonbridge, both of whom were in and around the relegation zone at the time. BlueGate Alan
As have most teams in this league Alex and is the reason we are still only 4 points from play offs!
Wellsie
Agree with you again Cookie (bit of a habit, this ) Boreham Wood, Maidstone and Hastings at home come to mind. If those 3 games were wins, we'd be 4 points inside the play offs. Wow! The "ifs" and "buts" are starting early this year.
seasidesteve
we have been nowhere near good enough to win promotion a lot of our home performances have been nothing less than disgraceful , just look at the crowds falling by the match .if trott stays we will get more of the same . do we really want another season witnessing more rubbish . BlueGate Alan
A lot???? Must have been watching different games I guess!
BlueGate Alan
I dont class 4 defeats as disgraceful I must say. Tho I agree we have thrown some games away we should have won.
BlueGate Alan
Its our away form that appears to have let us down just 18 points I believe all season?
Wellsie
The form thing is a bit of a mixed bag, I think. Goals scored is OK-ish but we've probably conceded 10 too many goals, and when you look at other's home form, most of those "too many" goals have probably been conceded at home, e.g. Wealdstone, Maidstone. (Less so Heybridge as we won). Away, the issue looks to me to be more about goals scored, where we look around 5 goals light.
seasidesteve
its not the defeats its the terrible performances that are the problem
michael
TA question for RT. What is the injury situation re:Coleman and Yianni. For now-we can only assume RT will retain them-of course that may not be the case-but assuming for now it is-when would RT anticipate them being fit . (rumours of Coleman 6 months and Yianni another 12 months !-surely not ?)
