JeremyJacobs
A tad quiet today. A little like the climate change types after a normal winter in the Northern Hemispere
Cookie
Don't be fooled JJ. The result didn't do him too much good to be honest despite us coming through it. I'm neither for or against him staying at the moment as I can see the good & the bad but its things like putting himself at full back with a more than adequate full back on the bench that gets up peoples noses. The whole defence,Young being an exception & Scott, though on one occasion even he showed that he still needs to come off his line more & be more dominant in that area. Super super saves by him though despite that. This defence should know each other by now & should have some kind of understanding amongst them. Defending was atrocious & don't bet against Leyton getting a result against us next week because it might not be as far fetched as you might think.l.o.l. Yes,we clung on & much thanks go to good strikes by Pinns & Martin but we could easily have thrown this away.If this game had gone on for another hour it could have been 15-15 quite easily We won, but it was a close call in the end against a sub-standard,youthful, but hard working Swifts. This win won't alter peoples opinions after today. On the whole, over the season I am still sitting on that fence about Trotty & am unsure as to what my final thoughts will be about it but as of now Trotty STILL,but only just, has my backing. Porka
Good going forward today. Well done to the players for plugging away and getting the joy they deserve as an attacking threat. However, defensively we were as shambolic as ever. I hope Trott is replaced in the summer. A regular winning team needs to have a solid base, and we certainly don't have that at the moment. After two years in charge I don't see that as acceptable on the part of the manager. We have some talented players and they managed to score five goals today so well done to them. But how did we manage to concede four? I'm as passionate about MFC as the next fan, and I want the best for the club, so I really think we need to find a new manager for next season. michael
How can a manager who admits he is not that fit and understandbly is a bit slower these days, conceivably play himself at full back. The world has gone mad
michael
must be a wind-up. he did'nt seriously play himself at full back surely ?
TonyM
I think he played at full back for one reason and that is that Leon played up front and RJ was ill,imo not a bad move.
michael
Somewhat surprised that he did not play either Smith at full back (more muddled thinking as that was what he was doing earlier in the season) -or more sensibly perhaps-Corbishley at full back-or JJ at full back and Quain on the wing. Stll-Mr T is the manager so obviously knows what he is doing
Cookie
Difference of opinions between us on this one Tone ,sorry. Now,Trotty had a "decent" game there I admit, despite me believing that a proper, younger & more speedier full back was available to him & should have started. Luckily Leon dosen't possess the threat or speed that he once showed otherwise this move could have backfired on him. Got away with it today I admit & in general Trottys experience maybe was the thing that got him through this tactical move without too much harm done but it still confounds me. WelshBob
For safety officer read officious [****!!****]. Small wonder the crowds are dwindling. Does he want the choir to replace the word in question with flipping instead-we'd be laughed out of town. Perhaps he should put his energies into implementing the smoking ban. Wherever you stand at Hartsdown you seem to get smoke blowing into your face. Thought it was supposed to be illegal in a public place. Anyway, if the safety officer is reading this; show some common sense you [****!!****] jobsworth [****!!****]. BlueGate Alan
Robin has agreed to me contacting him for a weekly update (probs on a Wed). I will put the question to him as to the reason he played full back on Saturday if that's what the fans would like? Will also get updates on possible injuries etc. The report will then be found on MISA site which can be found via the main web site page.
