I rushed into the home dressing room to tell the lads that the stiffs had won their league, to be greeted by at best "have they?". The lads had clearly just received their justified rollocking for a truly abysmal performance!

Result of the day?

Agreed but Arlesey Athletic's win at Royston runs it close

Arlesey are a good side these days, as they proved last week at Lowfield.

That result was the only thing worth cheering for me today, what with our result, Spurs drawing and my Grand National picks now on their way to McDonalds HQ.

Yes good result for us at Hertford but not a great game. Highlight of the first half was a goods train going by and the driver producing the Match of the Day theme on his horn. Second half got a little better with Hertford scoring a tremendous goal then not really threatening again. We worked hard but had little direct goal threat and HTFCones view on our equaliser will be interesting to say the least!

Always a pleasure to see our friends from Hertford especially as we have got 16% of our league points off them this year!!! Well it makes up for the 13 goals they got off us last year.

Lato, good to see you and Manorborn100 again. The game was truly forgettable, unlike other recent encounters. Let's hope Manor are still around in the Prem Div next season.

It was good to see all our friends at Hertford again (especially HTFCONE - thanks for the point blush).

The red carpet and rose petals on arrival were much appreciated, glad we wore our north African robes biglaugh.

We're still 7 points behind Holmer with 4 games to play (inc Harefield & Hanwell), so it's going to be a tall order to stay up especially as Holmer keep picking up points.
