But let down by some squeaky bum defending (though Scott produced a couple of class saves to give us a well deserved win).

From Wellsie's commentary it sounded like the first and second goals were somewhat flukey and maybe SCS should have done better. Can anyone offer an opinion?

 

Also, was it Martin Yerby refereeing and if so it seems a bit of a come down from the Premiership. I know if did the KSC semi-final but is he now a regular at this level? Certainly didn't here any comments regarding dodgy decisions on his part.

Hi Don,hope you are enjoying your break.For me,& I was right behind the goal for those goals you mention,the first goal was just left by everyone & sneaked in,Scott not seeing it until too late with all those players in front of him.The second from a corner (where TWO of their players were waiting & unmarked) at the near post headed in from about 3 yards. Scott held it but the ball was already over the line.I thought he did exceptionally well to hold on to it at all from that short a distance.He tried to claw it back but it was definately over the line.Not Scotts fault but poor defending.That how I saw both goals from where I was standing anyway.

If not for a very good finger tip save from Scotty at the death, it would have been 5-5.

 

Melvin's banter this afternoon was first class, have to say. He had us in fits.

Sounds as though from the reports-it will be between Pinns and SCS for mom.

Pretty incredible really -was'nt there a game a couple of months ago which we won with ease by the scoreline, but SCS was mom in that aswell.

 

Thank goodness SCS was not substituted today as punishment for letting four goals in

It wasn't ALL bad today.Our forward play was,as mentioned elsewhere,very good at times. Up front we always looked like scoring whenever we pushed forward,moreso than recent matches.We all know the rest.
