If only we could get a couple of strikers to help out Akinde.

Hearn hasn't been shocking, but I don't think he's added anything to the team, and if we're looking to progress, each and every signing has got to offer something new and improved to the team. I think Hearn is a squad player at best- instead, we should be looking at players who will compete with those we already have, for example, Darius Charles, whose athleticism and composure makes him such a classy defender.

That's what I thought at the time, but have just rewound the tape and had a look and Ricketts played him on.

What was going on at the final whistle ?
It looked like their No.2 (Lorraine) punched their No.21 (Batt) in the face ! (Only just got it on video in the corner of the picture).

Jimmy, you are right. I was wrong. One can hope I guess.

Am gutted about what happened yesterday. Woking have become the new NCBA with their last minute adventures. That's the second time Sole has done that to us.

We should have won that match easily.

Oh well, at I did get an FA Trophy badge so that is some consolation.

Nice pic of Arithon the board member on your avatar by the way ahhh!

If by score you mean aimlessly wander about and then when you do get it smash it high and wide then he was succesful.

Otherwise he wasn't great today.

He wasn't at his best today, and you could see he was really angry with himself when he skied it. But he was trying. I disagree he was wandering aimlessly about, it just wasn't his day. And had a couple of the decisions given against him been given in his favour, things might well have been different.

The problem is that it wasn't just yesterday, he has been below par for a number of matches now.

Hirsty, I jokingly quoted that line at the match yesterday. Can't remember which poet said it, but it was definitely appropriate this weekend.

Injuries to the forward line have meant that we are having to rely on players who seldom score at this level (as opposed to, say, the KSC) because they aren't naturally strikers. Most of our goals of late have come from midfielders, but not the midfielders now trying to play as forwards. I hope that the injury problems can be overcome quickly or there will be a few more surprises in store for us by the end of the season, worse than just dropping two points yesterday. Where would we be without Stacy's goals?
