Ebbsfleet United defender James Smith has agreed a new contract with the North Kent club.

 

The 21-year-old becomes the fourth Fleet player to agree terms for next year following Lance Cronin, Stacey Long and John Akinde.

 

Fleet manager Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "It's just getting pen to paper and then I can get on with the next few.

 

"The players know the situation I want them here."

With respect, there's nothing there about Liam not signing a contract. The "It's just getting pen to paper" seems to refer to James rather than anyone else.
