Kent Football League Premier Division Cup Final

On Saturday 3rd May - week after we finish - Hythe are playing Erith Town in the Kent Football League Premier Division Cup Final at Folkestone. Bill Edwards should be in the Erith line-up and Hythe have a striker who by then will be very close to 50 goals for the season. Worth the trip for anybody who fancies taking in a local(ish) game to extend the season.

Canterbury City will play Holmesdale Reserves in the Kent County (Junior) Cup final at the Corinthian FC Ground on Saturday, May 3.

 

That's quite an achievement too.

Disagree. He has been tried at Ryman 1 South (Dover) and didn't score enough and was very "in and out" of games. Looks as if he has improved but a two division step up would be too much for him I think.

For anybody interested - Erith Town won 1-0 and Bill had a decent game in his traditional number 4 shirt. I asked him if he's carrying on next year and he said that he wasn't so unless somebody persuades him otherwise today was his last game of an illustrious career.

Canterbury City proudly lifted the Kent Junior cup at the end of a scintillating match in which they scored all the goals!

 

And the result was 3-2!!!

Yes it was a very entertaining game.

1 penalty scored by Canterbury

 

1 penalty missed by Canterbury

 

1 penalty missed by Holmesdale (in the 89minute which would have sent the game into extra time)

 

Totally inept display by referee (booked at least 8 players as they were wearing shorts)

 

And finally really good company.
