Car Parking - 10th May - Ebbsfleet International

Whilst their generosity is not in question, it isn't that helpful to those fans wanting to travel by train from Northfleet station, as I had planned. Car park D is probably 2 miles from Northfleet Station, whilst C (where we now normally park) is but a short 5 minute walk.

My only other alternative is to slog it on the Chatham - CharingX chuffer.

80+ coaches all leaving from car park D at about the same time and then leaving Wembley at about the same time and then getting back to car park D at the same time? Think I'll get the train from Strood...

Isn't that what CG is planning to do - ie go by coach to Wembley but get to the carpark by rail? He is right it is quite a trek to carpark D by foot and this has clearly not been taken into account by whoever has planned this, presumably thinking everyone will drive there (or arrive by parachute). I heard it mentioned at the weekend that Ebbsfleet Station's carpark C would not be available (presumably because D will be otherwise occupied by the Club due to its plans). It might in the cirumstances be best to travel the whole journey by rain and underground instead. At least CG can catch a faster train to London instead. It could be even cheaper than the

I CAN get an express from Chatham - Victoria in 40 minutes - with free parking at my office. It's then a couple of tubes to Wembley via a suitable public house.

I just thought it might be more fun going from Northfleet station with a train full of fans.

Factor in the hour to clear Wembley by coach, the n at least 90 minutes home, tube and train is logistcally the better option.

As parking is 2 miles away - I'll probably stick to plan A.

I wonder will the unsuspecting passengers who get on before and after Gravesend feel the same way... grin

I'll be willing to bet there's the odd Mildred travelling from Strood, or Pierre the French student living in Abbey Wood or the holidaying Martinez family from Madrid getting on at Blackheath that might get a nasty shock... wink

Good to see that the moaning tradition is still thriving ( not you Stu...just couldn't be bothered to track back ).

If you don't want to go.....then stay at home.....but FFS leave it out about the arrangements please ? Had we lost to Aldersh*t, then no doubt more would moan about only a top ten finish !!

It may seems I paid over the odds david. But I dont care, I'd rather go by coach then go on a train, change at charing x, or wherever, get on a underground train, and then walk it.

Plus i am putting money (as little as it may be) back into the club.

I know Stu, I can't wait. This is part of the reason why I'm going by Train.
