Canvey Game

I really think we stand a good chance of getting at least a point in this match. The way we have played in the last couple of games shows that we are capable of performing well. Im confident that The Blues will play magnificent football against our local rivals. I doubt Canvey will go into the game feeling as if its a must win game for them as they cant get promoted (again!) and so Ricay must take full advantage from this.

Im going to be a little optimistic and say the score will be 2-1 to The Blues. But whatever the score will be, I'm sure that it will be a good game of football and people who aren't regulars at the New Lodge should definatley go to this one. I can't think of a better way to spend my bank holidays. COME ON RICAY!

I believe 'Ricay will have a chance of getting something from this game as we only have 1 fit defender.

Having said that though, we have got the Aldershot result out of our system and totally decimated Chesham yesterday. I don't think that the scoreline will be as high as yesterday, but Lee Boylan is looking to beat last seasons tally and Canvey are looking to score 100 goals. So I reckon we'll be up for it as much as you lot.

I just hope that some of our defenders manage to regain full fitness in time for the game or we might be playing our sub keeper in a 2-5-3 formation!!!

Well so long as we don't concede in the first minute again....

I think that if we're to get something from the game we need to score first. If we show the same work rate and commitment we've shown in recent games AND make the most of our chances then I reckon we'll be OK. Assuming everybody's fit then the team picks itself. And I doubt we'll have the same problems we had at Pork Lane with players having wisdom teeth pulled or arriving back from Ireland at 7.20 or just not turning up!

hopefully we'll see plenty of goals today, our all new 'no central defenders' formation should make for some lively stuff especially as we play 3-5-2 (actually i think we have it covered but the first 3 choices are unlikely to play)..

lets hope the players from both teams go out to entertain the crowd..and lets hope there is a crowd!!
