Great performance from the Basildon players,everyone gave 100%

virtualy played with 10 men as Jordon was injured and we had no subs on the bench.Special mention has to go to Antony in goal who had a stormer also the no5 at the back was excellent.I suppose as usual we will field a completely different team on Saturday but the lads who played tonight deserve to keep their place in the team.

ive just got the official crowd through,its 124 the second highest of the season at oakside,basildon had over a dozen there tonight,well done.

three very important points for Side and like Bboy said"We are top of the table now and then they can all try to catch us,our self belief is now growing with every game".

4 points above Enfield and more important 9 over Concord.They have one and two games in hand but i'll have the points every time.Rise Side,rise!All Side attributes were on show,work rate,skill,tempo and quality,but above all heart!

ps:Speedie was spirited...he should have had a penalty,shanked a few volleys,and defended well in the Basildon box!!

I actually thought basildon looked the better side for large parts of the game but after letting the first goal in their heads dropped.

Concord have 2 games in hand tho and I fancy them to beat 'Side last game of the season.

Reckon it will go to the wire, I think 'Side have done very well this season but I will secretly be cheering for my mates from the Island and I think they can win it.
