Ticket 'Q'

Recommended Posts

I agree Harry, how come there is not a que every Saturday?I recognised a fair few faces, but there were some people walking out with a hundred or more ticket, and I suspect that a lot of those ticket will go to people that would have a job to find Ebbsfleets ground let alone attend matches there

Unfortunately Gary, neither us or Torquay will fill the Stadium as there are 17500 "seats for life", purchased by the prawn sandwich brigade. These seats cannot be sold, even if the owners decide not to go and I can't see too many of them taking up their option for the Trophy Final.

Wrong and wrong.

I have one of these seats so I guess I'm in the "prawn sandwich brigade", despite not liking prawn sandwiches, and I can assure you this seat did not come cheap. If both clubs sell out their allocation these will be the next seats to be offered.

All this talk of day trippers, part time supporters etc, what does it really matter? At the end of the day its freedom to watch a game/match when the individual wants to, not because 1000 regulars say its wrong, would you lot sooner we get to wembley, and only take our normal 1000-1500 regular fans.Whether we like it or not its a fact, people will only turn out at this level of football when the going gets good,or the facilities, ground etc improves. We can all choose where and when we want to go, be it a concert or what ever...I for one tried the other month to buy tickets for havent v liverpool at anfield, they wouldnt sell them on the phone, but if i could have gone i would have, day tripper maybe, i dont give a stuff its my choice.... i am a regular at the fleet as you well know, but i also cant understand why some of you lot dig at people whos choice it is to attend when they want to.I agree in an ideal world we would all want a stadium full up every week, but it aint going to happen over night.Im sure my opinions will stir some reaction, but eh thats got to be good for a debate.....

I have been offerd the use of box and also tickets for the F A enclosure, but I personally will not be taking up any of these option, as I would far prefer being with the rank and file supporters, that I stood next to etc in all the other rounds, and league matches, rather than hob nobing, and not get the full atomosphere of the match due to partial isolation.

I had an absolute blast queueing for just short of three hours from noonish today - made some new friends (regulars AND otherwise !) , saw my Father-in-Law's on/off girlfriend (he's 83!) , my postman , and people I've not seen for twenty years .

Should have picked my wife up from work at 1.30 (didn't !) , and only managed to be 5 minutes late picking my son up from Thamesview . Best part ? Walking away , tickets in hand , towards the Swanscombe end turnstiles and shaking Sacha's hand and congratulating him on his season so far ( IMO Player Of The Season - sorry Stacey ! )

At the end , perversely , three hours just didn't seem long enough ! Rest assured all you unpurchased ones - if you buy you're ticket from the ground , in whatever manner ( in person or phone or WWW ) you will be amongst Gravesenders wherever you end up sitting , regulars or not , known or not - in fact you may well surprise yourself when you see how many people go that you do know but had no idea they were going too .

At the end of the day let's sell those tickets , and bathe Wemberlee in a sea of red - it's the only way !!!
