Milton Keynes Town

i hear that there was a Milton Keynes town FC originally, who closed down when the Mk Dons went there. Just thinking as there were loads of MK Dons fans on the radio yesterday saying how they had been waiting for a team in Milton Keynes....

Only went to Milton keynes City once, but it was a really nice club with decent facilities.

Milton Keynes City used to play at one of the most dramatic settings in the country, with the ground adjacent to some huge, rather sinister-looking railway arches. Attached to the foot of these was a stand belived to be the oldest in Britain. Think the whole site is lying derelict now.

 

Message for all those sad folk who were waiting for a team in Milton Keynes - there were THREE (MK City, Stony Stratford and New Bradwell St Peter). There used to be four, but I think the old MK Borough ground is now only used for Rugby.

IIRC, Wolverton went out of existence in the 80s and MK City replaced them in the ground by the railway.
