I asked at the MISA meeting last night if I was able to do a weekly interview with Robin regarding performances, injuries etc that week. I will approach him on Saturday to see if he is OK with me contacting him, if so will do a weekly report on the MISA web page, which I hope will help a bit? Of course if a success can carry this on next season whover (Trotty IMO)is in charge.

I don't think so Wellsie. If the club said 'they were in talks with the council and the plans were in the process of being drawn up for the next stage of the development of the ground' people may take more interest in the club and whats going on. I've stayed away of late because I feel let down by the club with the lack of information from them and the playing side of things. I've supported MFC since I was 8 and now i've completely lost interest. I also work with many Dover supporters and the communication there is much better than ours. If the club can't be bothered to inform us as to whats going on then I can't be bothered to come along. I think many suppporters feel the same although I speak for myself.

Also who wants to stand up the coffin end when the winds blowing and you're getting soaked through to the skin. The Hartsdown Rd end is not as sheltered as it was as its been transformed into offices and if you want the best view then you pay an extra

I hear what you're saying ebp4, but even the Dover fans would not turn up to uncle Jim's castle if the side weren't doing well. Last season (and the one before) was a good example when with Clive Walker in charge attendances faield tolive up to expectations. Now I'm not saying the things you mentioned don't have any impact, just that the major impact on attendances is results.

I've just had a look at the last couple of weeks news itmes on the Dover web-site and to be honest, they're are doing pretty similar things to us about the team.

But, there are clearly more unknowns at Margate and I would agree that no news is just that. I've said elsewhere on this forum that if it were me, I would be communicating more even when there was nothing new to say. People will still moan, but at least they couldn't moan about not being kept up to date. Equally, some might choose not to believe what they were being told. Still, I would continue to communicate. But these latter issues may be what prevents others at the club from takign a similar view; once bitten and all that.

Having said all that, I do agree that from a "customer" perspective more could and should be done as loyalty is critical - particularly for a football club.

PS Doidn't seem like a rant to me - just good reasoning and a very valid perspective.

Just to add to the positive/optimist debate,it may amaze some of you (TA In particular !) but i consistently have a positive attitude and always look for the good.

However,

Positive thought/words without positive action will and has achieved positively nothing.

I feel for two seasons-particularly on field- positive action has been lacking-hence we have achieved positively nothing

Thats why i don't simply talk positive-i can only talk positive when its substantiated by seeing some positive action.

No different to post match interviews-we can all talk the positive talk-thats easy-but lets see some words turned into action and results.

It's the old adage MM, "actions speak louder than words" and I agree with you. I guess the difference is that in sport (any sport) you will never get anyone to say "we're aiming at mid-table" unless they have just been promoted.
