Your choice Hornet - Enjoy it.

I'll be at the game on Saturday, enjoying hopefully a good game, win, lose or draw. I will also have the enjoyment of the good company of friends and the good banter on the terrace. I will enjoy it immensely. My choice.

I will be moving back to East Kent in the next few weeks having been here for 5+ years, one of the things I have missed greatly is watching the Gate, on my return I will get a season ticket for next year, it will I believe entitle me to moan if i want to, but support the gate thick and thin, my choice !!!

I too will be there on Saturday, someone has to do the ref's tea grin

Seriously I enjoy going to footie on a Saturday, beats shopping I say! I enjoy the chat with other fans and the chat I have after the game in the bar especially with the players.

Let's have a game of who's a loyal supporter Top Trumps shall we?

We've got the equivalent of four pre-season friendlies to play and I'm fed up of watching sh!te. I was there for our lowest league attendance on a freezing Tuesday night at Homelands and I'll be back for the start of next campaign but this is a team going nowhere. There's probably as many stay aways as there is attendees now anyway.

Our choice!

TROTT OUT!

As Hornet says its everyone's choice.I dont want to see the team flooded with reserves just because we're out of the play offs. The contracted players should be made to justify their money and those who deserve their chance due to patience and good attitude -Morris,Corbishley,Young,Quaine,Moir-should also be given phased goes.

Apologies Hornet if that sounded sanctimonious (if that's the right word) - that wasn't the intent. I wasn't there for Homelands on a freezing Tuesday night. Simply my point of view here and now - and yes I do hope it gets better!

Are we mathematically out of the play-offs now then?

I'll be there too whether we are or not. 4 games left but surely not to be treated as friendlies. At the least we have those bragging rights still to go for. Lets not hand it to them on a plate(though some might think we've done that already - more than once).

With the fixtures both clubs have left its within our capabilities still to maintain our stranglehold on the Thanet title.

If we fail then lets not fail by GIVING them that title. Let them b***** earn it!

Just imagine how they would feel to lose it from this position. How would WE feel to nick it from them against all the odds.

It CAN still be done!! Never say never.Lets not give up both ON & & OFF the field.

We have to take these games seriously & I'm sure Trotty will.

Come on,we've still got something to play for!!

We have pretty well all stated our views of how we see things, I think at the end of it all we will have to agree to disagree. But underlying all the controversy is the fact that the club needs the revenue we supporters provide. The club is what we all support after all and the club needs us, I would implore every one of the 2 to 3 hundred supporters who have or are thinking of walking away, to rethink their actions. There is only a handful of home games left now and the club will need all the revenue they can get to help build a stronger squad for next season. PLEASE STAY AND SUPPORT YOUR CLUB. My last word on the subject (I promise)!

hey cmon guys.

dont give up in your team, they need your support right now, games maybe hard for them at mo, but things will change and the players will be thankful for your support when things are better.

Take HX for example we had a poor time over xmas, slipping in the league a bit and dropping out of the cup games. But as fans we stuck by them and look how things have changed we're in the playoffs and having a good end of season!

Cmon Margate! smile

An excellent post by that old b*gger Cookie has unfortuneately persuaded me to give it another game on Saturday. As he points out there's still a longshot of making the play offs and to steal the bragging rights off the wrong side of the isle would be great. Although it'll be a dicey one because a dodgy performance coupled with the annoying Heybridge chavs could be as frustrating as it gets but never say never ( oops, just said it twice ).

Up the Gate.
