All I'm saying is let's have a look now because if they are or aren't up to the job, this is the perfect time to find out.

If they're not then Trotty and the board know they've got to go out and spend. Yet if they are what a great reward for the club.

How else are we all going to know with any confidence before next season.

I certainly don't want to get to next season and find out they're going to struggle. Yet at the same time I don't want to bring in players if there are one or two little nuggets sitting in the wings.
