Trott has to go. I think if we keep Trott in charge next season we will only decline even further, with attendances falling further.

Let's hire a manager with a bit of a track record for success. Those who will hark back to CK, I say it was the right time for him to go, but Trott's ineptitude shows that it is essential for someone with a little more experience to be in charge of this club, to help us make some progress. I don't want to see us end up in Ryman 1 like Dover did. We must act now, or at the very least, at the end of the season. Keep him and the only way is down I'm afraid.

As i posted elsewhere,i have sat on the fence re:trott believing that consistency is important, but have decided also it is time for him to go.

 

Even if we win the next 4 games,i think he should be shown the door.

Just does not have the connections.

 

Never like the situation and sorry for him, but it is just not working ou with him in charge-and more importantly-i don't see how it ever will.

 

i similarly fear that ryman south beckons with the sort ogf squad he is likely to assemble for next season

Michael, I fear that the board may not make the right decision. If we keep him on I really do fear for the future of the club. We are already rapidly turning into a shambles, and it will only get worse with him in charge.

Unless we win our last 4 games and play well surely his position with the board will be untenable. We are as close to relegation as we are to the play offs!

If we were to do that-we would flatter to deceive-which would be worse than losijng all 4 games imo.

 

The real problem for me is a complete lack of confidence that RT will be able to secure good players during the summer.

 

Can you really see anyone busting a gut to sign for him ?

 

we have got a few decent players in over last couple of seasons as we had a reputation of being a 'big club'.

After 2 years in Ryman, that reputatin is cut to threads,and so no one is realistically going to want to sign for margate-thus player quality will decline further, thus smaller gates, thus less money.

 

All the time RT is here, we are in decline.

 

who will want to sign for him-no man magement skills and he cannot coach.The 'reputation 'of Margate is no longer-a mid table ryman side these days.

 

It can only get worse under RT because he does not have his own 'pulling power' and the 'pulling power' of the club is no longer

its not just trott thats the problem its the shambolic way the whole club is run.unfortunatelty the one that runs it dosnt realise he is running it into the ground (NO PUN INTENDED).

Discipline is his major flaw in my opinion.Allows a lack of training, players drinking and all sorts.The players who do put in their all see others taking the mickey and getting away with it.The dressing room is not a happy place.

And obviously hasn't been for a while. I think the only time where it looked as if there was a good dressing room atmosphere was the first couple of months of the season.

That offer was a year ago wasn't it? From what I heard anyway. I also heard the CS club were offering less money. Whether that's true or not, I don't know. I don't think RT has a small budget here, or at least he didn't at the start of the season. With gates dropping, perhaps the board has had to cut its cloth. I lay most of the blame for the gates dropping with the manager.

this is one of my first posts in months on here, i would firstly like to point out that i was one of the few that attended every ashford game and yes we were crap then..

 

however this season i had to stop watching football as i have found myself in a state of dispare with poor football and really nothing to watch..

the fact that relegation is still mathematically possible is of major concern, attendance at 358 and falling (we use to get over 200 at ashford which was an hours drive) this is all ok if we don't want any success and to get worse....

 

i am going to put my neck out and say, me like many others have been voting with our feet and not showing up and this trend is going to increase and as has eash week...

all i can say is its lucky we only have 4 games left this season, we need a complete shake up imo to instill some confidence in the team and the future at the club.

 

if we dont change things around we go stale.... and we have.

 

btw we ever going to get the coffin end back.
