My wonderful son posted this message under my login - I actually listened to the Radio York commentary after half time as I couldnt get Radio Kent & their version was that it was a nondescript second half and that we won from a fortunate deflection on a free kick.

 

They added that if their Manager was upset with their performance on Tuesday against Northwich, he'd be livid with them today.

 

At the end of day, who cares? Lets face it, they were unbeaten at home since mid Nov so I wasnt expecting to gain the 3 points especially given our recent form, so its a real bonus today in my view - especially as Cambridge lost again.

 

The play off hopes live on - at least for another few days!

 

By the way - great to hear there were 165 away fans today - MyFC Northern based fans for the most part, I guess, but welcome all the same.

Yes the goal did come from a deflection and wrong footed their keeper, but after that we looked a lot more organised than in recent matches, even Ronnie did OK. George didnt stop running and made a pest of his self up front and rafa won a lot in the air, I dont think York created a great deal apart from one real good chance where their forward shot straight at lance... We walked out of the ground soaking wet thinking that it was a fully professional performance, how York can say we were poor is a case of tunnel vision me thinks............

Why did most of you lot sit in the stands ? Top supporters get soaked to the skin to support the boys lol

so we now measure how good a supporter you are by how wet we get at matches...

Getting wet is ok.....but, as per a previous thread, freezing at East Thurrock ( Corringham ? ) is far worse !!

I was and you are right. It was very, very cold.

 

Yesterday was very wet though.

 

I just wasn't stupid enough to stand out in it.

best part about yesterday was sitting in the white horse at lunchtime as the York fans congregated and listening to them chatting about how we would fall flat on our faces and they would go above us in the league....ha how wrong can you be

I was there...... I had a flu and was freezing my cobs off yet sweating buckets!

Only place I can remember that was as cold was Baldock, 'king freezing that place!
