That'll be easy but not as easy as spotting the one person in the Torquay shirt!

If by some bizarre twist we don't make the playoff final, be prepared to be outnumbered!

If, on the other hand, we do make it two visits to the Arch in 8 days, no doubt you'll have the bigger crowd.

Our sales will plateau now until after the playoff semis.

Cheers

I am not sure about being outnumbered. We have got so many people coming out of the woodwork, I am surprised that there are any trees left !!!

Nothing like a Wembley trip to kick the locals into gear !! Shame they are not "kicked" on a cold Tuesday night in January !!

Cheers,

Yeah, I know what you mean! Our support went from 2-3,000 to over 20,0000 the first time we went to Wembley in '89. Having said that, only 10,000 or so went both times to the two playoff finals.

I'm hoping for a personal 3rd time lucky as I missed our only winning visit against Blackpool!

Hope you do sell out your end or, at least, get a good 20-30,000 from Kent and elsewhere.

I'm sure it will be a great occasion and our fans are known for their friendliness. It's the sea air, cider and too many cream teas, methinks!

Cheers

Will be rooting for you if you do get to the play-offs - especially if you dick out Exeter on the way.

See you at Wembley!

Lord Horn

I know that the thread has gone a tad astray, sorry, folks, but thanks for your support re the playoffs. A lot of us are still rooting for you to make a late run! It ain't all over 'til etc, etc.

Have hope - in our last promotion season, 2003-4, with three games to go we were 5 points behind Huddersfield with 3 games to go. Our final results were W-D-W, there's was D-L-D! We went up on goal difference! It CAN happen!

See you at Wembley!

Cheers

Actually, you have me wrong here. All I want to do at a match is watch the match. What was most galling, though, was the 'We're going to Wembley, you're not' chant by the MyFC brigade. I can't help thinking of the word 'bandwagon' here.

Furthermore, in response to my original point, does 'the whole experience' include running onto the pitch for a laugh, thus tainting the reputation of our supporters?

Completely and utterly inexcusable. Doesn't matter who it is, Fleet, MyFC or Glorycasuals.

A chant also briefly aired on Tuesday, bizarrely, by an individual who was presumably oblivious to the fact that Kiddy have actually been to Wembley quite recently themselves.

I totally agree that running onto the pitch (albeit at half-time) at Northwich was inexcusable. The guy in question, however, has apologised profusely on a number of occasions since, eaten a whole warehouse full of humble pie, been totally humiliated by the whole affair and won't be doing it again. What he will do, by all accounts, is keep coming to watch the Fleet. As long as he doesn't repeat the exercise, we should give the guy a second chance.

I accept the concept of being given a second chance if an apology is meant sincerely. One other point though about the group that I identified previously re the G Glitter song, was feeling disconcerted when a number of them stood up to taunt the York fans (albeit from a very safe distance). Perhaps it was a result of the spirit flask that was being shared around by one of them, but I have to say that it looked more like the actions of out and out hooligans. I don't think that we should be complacent or excuse bad behaviour, or worse, turn a blind eye to it. The Club's good reputation is worth more than this.

This alone is enough to get a person arrested and possibly banned from attending league stadiums. (Not sure if non-league as strict).
Some clubs are quite strict on enforcing the 'no alcohol within view of the pitch'.
