Play offs

Does anyone think we still have a chance of making the play offs?

 

Personally, I very much doubt that we can do so as being realistic, I dont see us getting more than 24 points from our remaining games (7 wins and 3 draws) and if that is what we get, it would leave the other play off contenders needing to total just 81 points to mean we miss out and I cant see them failing to do this.

 

I'd love to be proved wrong, but it is clearly an outside possibility now.

Mathematically yes.

 

Realistically no.

I would be happy if the team equal or pass last seasons points total and prove all the doubters wrong that last season was not a fluke. If the team miss out on the playoffs fair enough but I am still proud of them for what they have accomplised.

Sadly I think we have to accept our run is over for this season but I'd like to see us finish as high as we can possibly get - IMO we've had a good season and have already proved last season wasn't a fluke.

This has been a good season. Play-offs would require a major slip-up by two or three clubs. 7th is probably the best achievable. I think part of the problem is that the squad isn't strong enough to cope with all the games over the past few weeks. To make a real promotion push we need to strengthen it over the summer. But at least we have a Wembley final to look forward to.
