Club shop and Shirts

I am assuming that as its been two years now, that the club will be changing the team strip. If this is the case can we please have a quantity of shirts for the start of the season. In the past people have waited weeks into the season to recieve a shirt. I think this puts people off and a lot of sales must be lost because of this. It can't be hard to work out how many shirts of the most popular sizes the club could sell from previous sales figures. I know the answer will be funding but surely, within reason, these are guaranteed sales and a good profit margin.

According to the club website, you can order the shirts online, in fact it states, alongside the picture of the shirt and beneath the sizes, that the product was added in 2004 (not ad verbatim!.

 

I can understand that the club may not choose to keep in stock a wide range of shirts but do what they appear to be doing and simply keep in stock the smaller, cheaper, quick turn round stuff. What would be a good idea perhaps would be to have a special feature in the programme of merchandise in order that interested parties can purchase the larger items. These items could then be purchased direct from the manufacturer or whomsoever is given the franchise to sell the stuff. It is no good having a club shop if you don't push what you are selling anyway.

 

A special note in the programme, even a full on sales campaign, would not go amiss as it is largely those who attend matches and buy programmes who will buy shirts etc anyway (even if it is for a friend or family!).
