not really interested in the arguing thats going on!! more about the footy with me................and if anyone wants to know it finished 1-1 at berko today.....0-0 at half time...but aston went ahead about 7 minutes into the second half........berko leveled it all up after a poor clearance from aston dropped to the fast berko lad up front who sliced it in.

 

i think it was a fair result ending a draw......berko will be disappointed not to have put away the chances they had and aston should have made more of the dominance they had in the first half hour of the game!

Agree with Monkeymonkey8 on this one. Aston were the better team in the first half hour playing good football. Berko relying too much on the big hoof up front. Having said that Berko created the more clear cut chances. Both goals came from defensive errors. In the end Berko should have won but the Aston Keeper had an outstanding game. I was happy with a draw but most of the Berko lads were disappointed.

Good to see Terry Gilmore from the SSML guesting at the Berko v Aston match. He was very complimentry about both sides and I would guess pleasantly suprised at the quality of football on show.I agree with the previous two comments, on balance Berko created the clearer cut chances in a game of few, but Aston played extremely well and dominated for large periods of the game. Eddie Farmer had an oustanding game in goal and was applauded of the pitch by his team mates. With Padbury losing and Woodson winning the Division is shaping up nicely.
