An interesting thread has developed on another's Forum about Division 2 of our league, who feeds it, promotion, relegation, why Old Bradwell Unitd and Markyate are so useless etc, etc:

Horace doen't do the results, you plank. how many times do I have to tell you!

I can tell you about Padbury v Berkhamsted as I was there! Padbury 4 Berkhamsted 2

A fiesty game officiated over by a very tolerant ref (particularly as regards the constant foul language from both sides, much directed specifically at him!). Padbury 2 up early on through their only two chances. Second half, Berko predictably got level, then Padbury showed their resolve by taking the game away from their visitors with two quick goals from their No. 9

Your much vaunted Aston Clinton lost at home to Padbury on Saturday, and on the evidence of this, will be looking upwards at them in the table for the rest of the season! Berko looked very much like a "work in progress" - nice to meet and chat to their young chairman.

Was at the Aston game today and they are struggling big time with injuries to the point that they had their Manager and Chairman as subs. They have at least 7 players out injured so they are still holding their own and by all accounts should have got a point against Padbury with a depleated side on Saturday. I heard the Tuesday game they tore Wodson Park apart but lost 2 players in the 1st half to injury still comfortably winning 5-0.And one of the players today came off injured after a brilliant solo goal. So by all accounts the way its going for Aston is they may run out of players!

It certainly looks pretty open, Wodson have had a good run to put them back in touch... I hope they can keep it up!

Yes Wodson have had a great run since Aston beat them 5 nil..........seem like a good bunch of people over there.

The set up is top draw with them playing at ware fc.

good luck to them.

Don't forget Pitstone who have only dropped 3 points and that was against Padbury. It seems though they rely on Lawrence Bunker as he has scored half of all their goals.

A very good point JoJo on Pitstone but they have yet to play any half decent sides and when they did it was Padbury who smashed them up!

I think its the most open league out of the 3.............should be a lot more ups and downs before the season is up!

It will be interesting to see who wins the top spots and if they do actually go up!!!

Aston Clinton have made two signings over the past week. Kyle Kilmartin from Aylesbury FC and Matthew Talyn from Chalfont Wasps. Both players have been brought in to strengthen the first team and to push forward in the League. We wish them good luck for the season.

That's interesting, I'm going to try to get to Aston Clinton's Challenge Trophy tie at Hillingdon Borough as I believe there is a potential shock on the cards that night

Hopefully this will deflect attention away from Southill Alexander v The 61FC, it has to be the game of the day and should attract a big crowd although isn't it at Berkhamsted.
