I have to disagree with you. As I recall from an age back on here, someone recognised that it may well "be sh!t, but it's OUR sh!t" and I have to agree.

 

Seeing as the myfc "members have pointed out on the forums that the FA Trophy Final is a great opportunity to create extra revenue for the club through merchandise" then a download could potentially sell thousands and make a little bit of money for those involved.

 

The media interest alone in a crap football song going top forty (let alone number one) would be immense and only serve to open the eyes of potential fans and investors to the club (albeit they may think we're a bit sad!)

 

But, don't listen to me - listen to an animated Sacha

in the bar at Northwich about the merits of a club having their own song...

I think we have won more games since not playing it, the team has moved forward, and the song should be left where it is, in it.s dust cover, it,s embarassing. I bet it took 20 mins for the players to get going after trying to hide there faces as they ran out to it.

I like the White Stripes

Their motif is Red and White

Jack White strikes me as a pretty reasonable sort of bloke so copyright might not be an issue.

Open for improvements.

Could just sing the first verse if the whole thing too much.

A song seems to split fans opinions. A new song was talk off on the other forum, then comments came in saying Cheer should be the one, full stop.

 

One option was a 3 song CD SIngle, old version, a new version and a totally new song.

 

Time will be tight I suppose.
