anything can happen in local derbies

its about showing we want it more. fearing teams is what exactly we dont need. who cares if they are in good form we can beat them or any team in the league if we show the commitment that has been missing in far too many games this season from start to finish

its hard to throw the form book out when our form probably hasnt been good enough to get in the book! tongue

agree though these games are crucial, burnham have been struggling recently but windsor have been on good form. a win against at least one of these teams would be the best way for our new manager to get off to a good start with the fans.

I would not be surprised if Windsor absolutely thump us, they are on a march to the play-offs and might just win it with their form. However I agree, it's all about attitude on the day, and we do owe them one from Boxing Day.

I'd expect a loss. I should be going to the game and I have yet to see us win this season when I've been, and the games have also coincided with our worst performances...

Make of that what you will.

with the new boss knowing burnham inside out for the last couple of years it will be interesting to see what happens on the field, burnham is winable IMO,windsor lets not forget lost to lowly taunton after a good run.Trying to be upbeat and positive lets hope we have at least a few games of good results what with the new boss etc.

Well I'm reasonably confident. I hope that Sweetman can have the same immediate impact Betts and Barney did in that Abingdon game, as the flow of points really needs to start Saturday! I guess it's inevitable that we'll see some ins and outs in the squad, which will be interesting.

Is that the derick sweetman who played for britwell rockets sunday side in the 70's and went on to play a few games for windsor etc.if so lets hope is coaching skills out weigh his football ability-there again at this time of the season wouldn't a good manager/coach be in useful employment already.

well actually ability can have a lot to do with it-if you are a terry reardon-laurie churchill-tommy lawrence-david kemp, just to name a few ex slough managers, because the playes trust what you say and look up to your medals etc.we have just had a year of non entities managing slough and look where that got us-proves my point me thinks.the only other way an average or non footballer makes a good manager is usually with plenty of money to get top players.

but back to my other point that you both ignored-if he his so good what's he doing a)in this type of football b)not in decent managerial employment ??
