In nearly 50years of following the fleet, ive seen a lot of crap games and poor fleet managers.I dont always like your tactics or your lack of substitutions, but youve made up for this with a good eye for players and making them play with togetherness and determination.Ive been to all the big games, sunderland, forest, county, villa, canvey, bedford, kent senior and floodlight cup finals.etc.BUT nothing and i mean NOTHING will be like going to wembley with the FLEET, thankyou.

Having been to the new Wembley a few times for England matches, I am over the wow factor of the stadium.

Not sure I will ever get over the wow factor of Liam leading the boys in red and white out on May 10th.

Chrisblanc, are you and Dave definitely going to miss it due to your holiday?

Just have to agree with the other sentiments, been following the 'fleet some 37 years and this just has to be the best so far. Thanks to you all for building such a successful team. See you at Wembley (never thought I'd be saying that!)

Won't that kind of stifle the atmosphere...?!

I'd much rather be out there with the great Fleet unwashed (and after hugging a few of them yesterday in the 90th minute, I can vouch for the unwashed bit)...

I'm with you on that one Stu, you have got to be able to smell the £10 bacon rolls cooking, and also the smell of the witchazel from the pitch.

Indeed, remembering the away match at Boreham Wood, where I suggested several times in the 2nd half (extremely vocally I add) that Mr Daish should **** off back to Ireland, I take back everything I have ever said about him.

Well done to everybody at the club.

Just to add my pennies worth - Liam has done a fantastic job this year on a minute budget to build the team, team spirit and cameraderie that is so obvious now. There are no superstars, just a team of honest players who will run and tackle until they drop, and backroom staff many clubs would die for.

For 2 years I was unconvinced that Liam could do a job for us, my God how he has proved me wrong.!!

Over my 41 years we have had highs and lows - mainly lows, but the game on Saturday rated the highest yet, and that includes Southern league cup win over Weymouth, Villa, the Portway years, Colchester, Canvey and Bedford.

Just getting to Wembley is an astounding achievement, winning would be the icing on the the cake. But for me, the everlasting memory will be to see Liam leading the boys out onto the Wembley pitch.

Remember, it is better to lose at a Wembley final than to lose in the semi-final!!

Torquay appear to attract 20,000 - 25,000 to Wembley games. If we can match that + 10,000 floating and corporate spectatators, wouldn't it be nice for tinpot little Ebbsfleet to beat the Trophy attendance record of 53,000 set last year.

We may not always agree with the 87th minute substitutions, but you have earned the right to be called our most successful manager ever, simply for getting us to a Wembley final which will get global coverage and a crowd of hopefully 50,000+ , a thing undreamed of even 5 years ago.

Well done Liam, Alan and Ron
