Not a lot of singing today BB dismal is the word Ref and linesman shocking, i think our season is finished, looking at Mr Kents face in the car park said it all for me, some might say that we are still 3 points from the playoffs? its a funny old game, Blue fan. frown

The ref and linesman was shocking. Their 8 and 5 had no right to stay on the pitch during the first half but that doesn't excuse us for only having one clear cut chance in the first half...and one mistake for their first...

..But that still doesn't tell the whole story. Yes, we didn't create that much in the first half but we were playing okay. The second half is where we upped that pace and TOTS (in honour of their programmme editor) looked jaded and tired. We certainly had the upper hand as regards fitness but didn't make it count. And through no lack of effort by the lads and some weak decision making by the officials.

I think yesterday you can look to various contributing factors, not just the weak officials, as the reason we didn't get anything out the match. Some down to us, some down to them.

Still, no good bleating about it. Move on. We have still 8 games to play, so lets go out and enjoy them...you never know what may happen.

We looked far more dangerous when Tejan-Sie & Bricknell came on after the break. Maybe we did enough in the second half to get something from the game, but it wasn't to be.

Yes, the officiating was very poor; but sh!t happens, and it happens to all teams. You need to be good enough to come away with something despite that, and yesterday we weren't.

I'm not yet writing off our chances of sneaking in the top 5, but it's unlikely. Not just because of the "maths", but also because our form is not that of a promotion prospect. I have one eye on next season, and a league that may be a bit more of a level playing field with Chelmo & AFCW having moved up (cue Urchins wink ). But then again, we may have Dover & Darford to contend with crazy

Ramsgate is a tough place to get a result so donating the opposition a goal start wasn't ideal.

I agree we played better than at Margate and the lads tried hard but until we went "gung-ho" in the last 10, I really couldn't see us getting back into the match. IMO our league position accurately reflects the strength of our team at the moment.

We are not completely out of the picture, but it's a long shot now. I hope we take the opportunity in our last 7 games to have a good look at all of squad and decide on the ones that have the ability and desire to take us forward next season.

That defeat will make things hard to gain a playoff spot. As has been said we seemed to come to life once the changes were made - A case to start like that perhaps, who knows?!?

Still it aint over just yet, and a win v Carshalton on Friday will be a tonic, but it is not much good winning one losing one etc etc.
